Strother-Thomas
Ms. Rae Strother and Mr. Jae Thomas of Raleigh exchanged vows Sept. 14, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Motorco Music Hall in Durham, with the Rev. David Wood officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Nelson and Marilyn Strother of Chapel Hill, N.C.
The groom is the son of James and Charlene Thomas of Goldsboro.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a vintage-style knee-length A-line dress in ivory satin.
For her headpiece, she chose an ivory birdcage veil with pearl embellishments. She carried three ivory calla lilies tied with satin ribbons. She wore antique pearls, a gift from her mother.
Ms. Arwen Carlin of Durham, friend of bride, was maid of honor.
Mr. Stephen Atkinson of Raleigh, friend of groom, served as best man.
Mr. Graham Strother, brother of the bride, greeted guests.
Wedding music was provided by Nolan Smock, vocalist and guitarist.
A reception immediately followed the ceremony in the Motorco Garage Bar and Grill.
Prior to the ceremony a cocktail hour was given by Ann and Stephen Aylward.
The couple resides in Raleigh, N.C.
