Holland - Grady
Shannon Marie Grady of Goldsboro and James “Jay” Raeford Holland III exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 10 at 5 p.m. in Topsail Beach, with chaplain Mike Koonce officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Tim Creech of New Bern and Mary Adams of Pikeville.
She is a 1996 graduate of Greene Central High School and Wayne Community College for medical office insurance. She is employed as a contract employee at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The groom is the son of James “Jimmy” Raeford Holland Jr. and Pinkie Price of Goldsboro.
He is a 1992 graduate of Rosewood High School and Wayne Community College’s basic law enforcement training program. He is employed as a police officer with the city of Goldsboro.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white bridal gown with a trumpet silhouette, a sweetheart neckline with straps and an empire waist with a cocktail-length train accented with rhinestones, gems, pearls, glass, bugle and seed beading.
She wore a white rose in her hair.
The bride carried a pinwheel.
Alicia Horton and Jaime Brooks were their friend’s matrons of honor.
Sarah Holland, daughter of the groom, was the bridesmaid.
Lathan Keel was his friend’s best man.
Groomsmen were Brandon Creech, brother of the bride, and Daniel Holland, son of the groom.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Surf City Welcome Center and Visitors Center.
After their wedding cruise to Key West and Cozumel, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a miscellaneous shower July 23 hosted by the groom’s mother and a lingerie shower Sept. 7 hosted by the bride’s sister.
A rehearsal dinner was held at Long Island Pizza in Surf City.
