Bitzenhofer-Albertson
Brooke Simone Albertson and Christopher Michael Bitzenhofer exchanged vows in a double ring ceremony May 14 at 5:30 p.m. at Coral Bay Club in Atlantic Beach, with Mike Darnell officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Robin Dean Albertson of Mount Olive and Shelby and Neal Benton of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Hallie and Jane Albertson of Beulaville, David and Janet Duffy of Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and Carl and Peggy Benton of Fremont.
She is a 2008 honor graduate of Spring Creek High School and attends East Carolina University for a degree in nursing. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi honor fraternity. She is employed as a nursing assistant at Wilson Medical Center.
The groom is the son of Jerry and Diane Bitzenhofer of Raleigh and the grandson of the late Raymond and Ida Ruhl and the late Albert and Dorothy Bitzenhofer of Cincinnati, Ohio.
He is a 2002 graduate of Sanderson High School in Raleigh and a 2008 graduate of Mount Olive College with a bachelor’s degree in recreation and leisure studies. He is employed as the director of Parks and Recreation for the town of Mount Olive.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a V-neck sheath silhouette gown in French Chantilly lace with scallop edging along neckline and hem.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of white and pink peonies and roses.
Mallory Laine Albertson of Raleigh was her sister’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Hillary Beamon and Kirstin Ellis of Goldsboro, Jamison Mossberg of LaGrange and Bridget Parvin of Mount Olive, friends of the bride.
Mark Phillip Bitzenhofer of Fort Mill, S.C., was his brother’s best man.
Groomsmen were David Bitzenhofer of Raleigh, brother of the groom; Jerry Bitzenhofer of Raleigh, father of the groom; and Nathan Cornish of Goldsboro and Brett Roberson of Wilson, friends of the groom.
Elise Bitzenhofer of Cincinnati, Ohio, cousin of the groom, and Jaden Benton of Fremont, cousin of the bride, announced the bride using an old Hawaiian custom.
Hallie Jane Harp of Forth Worth, Texas, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Ryan Duffy of Gurnee, Ill., cousin of the bride, was ringbearer.
Moira Bitzenhofer of Raleigh, sister-in-law of the groom, and Tiffany Duffy of Huntington Beach, Calif., aunt of the bride, were readers.
Emily Benton of Mount Olive, stepsister of the bride, and Becky Bitzenhofer, of Fort Mill, S.C., sister-in-law of the groom, distributed the programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Dennis Albertson of New Bern, uncle of the bride; Karen Albertson of Beulaville, aunt of the bride; and Karla Albertson of Wake Forest, cousin of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a dinner/dance reception was held at Coral Bay Club.
After their wedding trip to Maroma Beach, Mexico, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

The groom’s parent’s hosted a rehearsal dinner May 13 at Portofinos Ristorante in Emerald Isle.
