Giles - Lassiter
Christy Lassiter and Kendrix Giles exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, with apostle Gerald Davis and pastor Nancey Kornegay officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Sgt. Thomas and Gloria Howell of Dudley and Alonzo King of Goldsboro.
She employed as a nursing assistant and is also an author and a minister.
The groom is the son of Bobbie Giles and the late Kenneth Smith of Benson.
He is employed as a minister.
The bride was given in marriage by her son, Jeremiah Lassiter.
She wore a gown with beading across the bust and the skirt. The train and the top lining were apple red.
Lashonda Langston was matron of honor, while Candy Swindson was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Wanda Saunders, Nicole Smith and Lawanda Giles.
Corey Cnquest was the best man.
Groomsmen were Wyatt Ragland Jr., Sedrick Langston, Tyree Eason and Lamont Giles.
Ushers were Aaron Davis and Andy Stacker.
Janyiha Giles was flower girl. Isaiah Harris was ringbearer.
Jackie Hightower and Jeanie Williams directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Tammy Herring.
Special helpers were Greater Faith Ministries of Benson, Liberty Tabernacle of Prayer Hinesville, Ga., Margaret Braswell, Lorene Beamon and Angela Kornegay of Georgia.
A program of wedding music was provided by Nehemiah Davis, pianist; Jeremiah Davis, vocalist; and Cassandra Roberts, organist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held.
The couple will reside in Willow Springs.
Events held before the wedding included a shower hosted by the matron of honor.
