Bartley - Holloman
JACKSONVILLE — Brandi Rae Holloman of Mount Olive and Nicholas Ah Chee Bartley of Jacksonville exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 26 at 6 p.m. at New River Air Station, with Ray Smeltzer officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Brad of and April Reaves of Beaver City, Neb., formerly of Mount Olive, the granddaughter of Jerry and Karen Reaves of Mount Olive and Ron and Karen Truckenbrod, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Holloman and the late Pasty J. Truckenbrod of Goldsboro and the great-granddaughter of Virginia Sullivan of Mount Olive.
She is a 2003 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2007 graduate of Mount Olive College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration-accounting. She is employed as a senior accountant at Pate Dawson Co.
The groom is the son of Filipo and Mary Ann Bartley of Jacksonville and the grandson of the late Robert of and Meleane Bartley of Western Samoa, Enoka Fetui of California and Lupiene Tago.
He is a 2004 graduate of Jacksonville High School and attended Mount Olive College. He is employed as assistant manager at Friendly Mart Inc.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white satin corset ballgown with beaded lace appliqués and a lace-up back. An organza pick-up skirt with beading throughout flowed into a chapel train.
Her headpiece was white flowers throughout her hair.
The bride carried a cascading bouquet of stargazer lilies and white roses.
Taylor and Danielle Reaves were their sister’s maids of honor.
Bridesmaids were Holly Denning, aunt of the bride; Kirstie Burchett, friend of the bride; and Priscilla and Tisha Bartley, sisters of the groom.
Reggie and Chris Bartley were their brother’s best men.
Groomsmen were Zach Wood and Bryan Stitz, friends of the groom; Matthew Reaves, brother of the bride; Sam Roy, cousin of the groom.
Aubrey Denning, cousin of the bride, was flowergirl. Josiah Bartley, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.
Lynnette Lee directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Rita and Billy Long, aunt and uncle of the bride. Madison Davis, cousin of the bride, and Chelsea and Claire Riley, cousins of the groom, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided
by Ashley Hartley and Jason Cox, friends of the couple, vocalists.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a dinner reception to follow at New River Air Station Officer’s Club. The groom, his mother, sisters and aunt performed the traditional Samoan Money Dance. The bride danced the Hawaiian Wedding Dance.
The couple will take a wedding trip to San Diego, Calif., in August. They will reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower April 18 at Rhodes Friends Church hosted by friends and family; a bridal shower June 16, at Pate Dawson Co. hosted by co-workers; a bachelorette weekend June 12 hosted by friends of the bride; and a bachelor party June 24 and 25 hosted by friends and family of the groom.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner June 25 at Golden Corral in Jacksonville.
