Butler - Miller
ANGIER — Adriane Leigh Miller and Reid Hyatt Butler exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 8 at 5 p.m. in the gardens of Barclay Villa, with the Rev. Leslie Steve Singleton officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Deborah Foss Miller and John Ransom Miller of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Preston Royall, Almond Phillips Miller and the late Mr. John Miller.
She is a graduate of North Duplin High School and East Carolina University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work. She is employed with Wake County as a licensed clinical social worker and a licensed clinical addictions specialist.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Felton Butler of Clinton and the grandson of Beatrice Williams Gray, the late Mr. Donald Reid Gray Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Mossette Lee Butler Sr.
He is a graduate of Clinton High School and East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in financial services. He is employed as a Realtor with Butler and Faircloth Real Estate Inc. in Clinton.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white shimmer silk and satin couture wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline. It featured a ruched bodice with hand beaded appliqués and a scalloped hemline with a chapel-length train.
Kelly Roberts Grace of Greenville was the matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Crystal Howard Hodak of Clayton, Katherine Parker Morton of Wilmington, Gwendolyn Arnold Murray of Charleston, S.C., Diane Elizabeth Rutkowski of Fairfax, Va., and Crystal Lynn Woods of Raleigh.
Frank Butler was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Dale William Delsersone and Andrew Hamilton Griffin of Raleigh, Dennis Braxton Haga of Asheboro, Fredric Clayton Hall of Teachey, James Buchanan Tilley of Greenville and Burl Jasper Williamson III of Washington, D.C.
Alexis Marie Miller of Mount Olive, niece of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid.
Scripture reader was Erin Hannah Lanier of Raleigh.
Sidney Leigh Ashby of Greenville and Miss Victoria Blake Jenkins of Garner distributed the programs.
Mr. and Mrs. James Elmer Crocker of Kenly and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Graham Mercer of Bailey greeted guests.
Following the ceremony, a courtyard and poolside social hour was held. Guests were greeted by Mr. and Mrs. John Wayne Pearson and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Joseph Werner of Clinton, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lafayette Stewart III of Fayetteville and Mr. and Mrs. James Kirby Ward of Cary greeted guests. A dinner and dance reception followed in the Lector Corrina Grand Ballroom of Barclay Villa.
After their wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Clinton.
Events held before the wedding included an engagement party Sept. 12 in Greenville hosted by Kelly and Matt Grace; a Christmas shower Dec. 13 at the home of the groom’s parents hosted by friends and family; a his and hers shower Feb. 13 in Raleigh hosted by Katie Morton and Crystal Woods; an engagement party Feb. 28 at Coharie Country Club hosted by friends of the groom’s parents; a Pampered Chef shower March 20 at the home of Tonya Jenkins in Garner hosted by Ms. Jenkins, Rhonda Ashby, Almond Miller and Star Miller; a a bachelor weekend March 12 through 14 in Savannah, Ga., hosted by the groomsmen; a bachelorette weekend April 2 through 4 in Myrtle Beach, S.C., hosted by the bridesmaids; a bridal shower April 23 hosted by the bride’s co-workers at Wake County Health and Human Services; and a bridesmaids’ luncheon May 7 at The Ashford Inn in Clinton hosted by Beatrice Gray, Anne Mercer, Linda Crocker, Deanna Gray and Susan Gray.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner and dance May 7 at Barclay Villa.
