Lane-Grantham
Traci Lynne Grantham of Goldsboro and Joshua Dale Lane of Princeton exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Feb. 28 at 3 p.m. at Rosewood First Baptist Church, with the Rev. E.C. Mattocks officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Michael Allen and Donna Parnell Grantham of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Mary Grantham, the late Rudy Grantham and Donald and Mildred Parnell of Goldsboro.
She graduated from Rosewood High School in 2006 and attends East Carolina University for a degree in elementary education. She is employed as a teacher assistant with Wayne County Public Schools.
The groom is the son of Paula Godwin of Princeton and the late Greg Lane and the grandson of Charles and JoAnne Fail of Princeton.
He graduated from Rosewood High School in 2005 and Wayne Community College., He is employed with the North Carolina Department of Correction.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white silk taffeta gown with a sweetheart neckline and a ruched bodice. It was adorned with beaded and embroidered appliqués. The skirt had box pleats, embroidery and a cathedral-length train.
Her headpiece was a tiara accented with crystals and a fingertip veil edged with crystals that cascaded down her back.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of pink stargazer lilies, green hypericum berries and Queen Anne lace. The stems were wrapped with braided ribbons of hot pink and green accented with pearl pins.
Heather Pendergraph was her sister’s matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Amanda Lane, sister of the groom; Courtney Tyner, cousin of the bride; and Cristina Pender, friend of the couple.
Charles Fail was his grandson’s best man.
Groomsmen were Daniel Hill, cousin of the groom, and Matt Neighbors and Dustin Sittig, friends of the couple.
Michaela Pendergraph, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Chase Moen, friend of the bride, was ringbearer.
Sheila Thomas directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Meredith Grantham and Rachel Grantham, cousins of the bride. Chelsea Sawkiw, cousin of the groom, and Harley Wise, sister of the groom, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Beverly Sager, pianist, and Tim Cifers, guitarist and vocalist.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception in the family life center of the church. Ronnie and Debbie Phillips greeted guests. Pam Grantham, aunt of the bride, and Meredith Grantham, cousin of the bride, served the five-tiered wedding cake. Wendy Fail, aunt of the groom, and Chelsea Sawkiw, cousin of the groom, poured punch.
After their wedding cruise to the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Princeton.
Events held before the wedding included a kitchen shower Nov. 19 hosted by Donald and Mildred Parnell; a miscellaneous shower Jan. 10 at Rosewood Baptist Church hosted by Pam Grantham and Wendy Fail; a bachelorette weekend Jan. 16 hosted by Heather Pendergraph; and a bachelor party Feb. 13, hosted by friends of the groom.
The groom’s family hosted a rehearsal dinner. The couple chose this time to present gifts to their attendants.
