Reeves-Hamlin
WILMINGTON — Sheila Ann Hamlin and Benjamin Ellis Reeves exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 3 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Norman Wheeler officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Brenda L. Hamlin of Wilmington and the late Richard N. Hamlin.
She is a graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and Aveda Institute of San Antonio, Texas.
The groom is the son of Arden E. and Loretta M. Reeves of Mountain Lake Park, Md.
He is serving in the United States Air Force.
The bride was escorted by the groom.
She wore an ivory A-line satin halter-style gown. The halter neck was -red satin with ivory floral embroidery. The bib was beaded with ivory embroidery. The back was corset-style with a chapel-length train of -red satin outlined in ivory floral embroidery with beading.
Her headpiece was a tiara of ivory pearl flowers and rhinestones.
The bride carried an arm bouquet of red blackout Asiatic lily with baby miniature white calla lilies. The stalks were wrapped in an ivory shimmer organza ribbon and bow.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Dockside Restaurant in Wilmington.
The couple took a wedding trip to Italy.
A rehearsal dinner was held Oct. 2 at Jackson’s Big Oak Barbecue in Wilmington
