Robin Elizabeth Sutton and William Edward Anders exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 24 at 4 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, with the Rev. James H. Harry and the Rev. Charles K. Morrison officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David A. Sutton of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie William Sutton of LaGrange and Mrs. Floyd B. Jones Jr. and the late Mr. Jones of Kinston.

She is a graduate of Eastern Wayne High School, North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Master of Business Administration degree. She is employed as an account manager at PACE Communications in Greensboro.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ferrell Summerford Anders of Fairhope, Ala., and the grandson of Doris Herring and the late William Minter Anders of Massey, Ala., and Mrs. Richard Henry Arrington Jr. and the late Mr. Arrington of Montgomery, Ala.

The groom graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy and a Master of Business Administration degree. He is a graduate student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a formal silk shantung gown of diamond white with a strapless sweetheart neckline. The fitted bodice and modified A-line skirt were embellished with re-embroidered Alencon lace. The back bodice, accented with silk-covered bridal buttons, cascaded into a chapel-length train.

Her headpiece was a single-tiered fingertip veil of silk illusion framed with re-embroidered Chantilly lace.

The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of lisianthus, freesia, spray roses and star of Bethlehem.

Eleanor Katharine Spicer and Carolyn Elizabeth Wilkins, friends of the bride, were maids of honor.

Bridesmaids were Laura Anders Lee, sister of the groom, and Claire Baird Broadaway, Addie Sluder Hall and Catherine Crawley Parker, friends of the bride.

Ferrell Summerford Anders was best man.

Groomsmen were William Bryan Lee, brother-in-law of the groom, and Milton Aldridge Ladd Jr., Matthew Carlson Lundberg, Johnathan Ira Smith, Holden Coyt Spaht and Charles William Spaht Jr., friends of the groom.

Isabel Grace Sutton, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

Mrs. John Turner Walston Jr. directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Janna Elizabeth Jones, cousin of the bride. Brittany Gwynn Graham and Lea Anne Williams, friends of the bride, distributed programs.

Erin Brooke Jones, cousin of the bride, was reader.

A program of wedding music was provided by Alice Campbell, organist; Gregory Glenn Rice, pianist; and Joseph Brinson, trumpeter.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Goldsboro Country Club.

After their wedding trip, the couple will reside in Greensboro.

Events held before the wedding included an engagement party July 26 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Rich in Fairhope, Ala., hosted by friends of the groom; a party Aug. 21 at the home of Kelly Smith in Birmingham, Ala., hosted by friends of the couple; a bridal shower Oct. 16 hosted by co-workers of the bride in Greensboro; a bridesmaids’ luncheon Oct. 23 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James C. Parker hosted by Mrs. Parker, Mrs. Richard S. Narron, Mrs. James W. Spicer Jr. and Mrs. David T. Tayloe Jr.; and a wedding day brunch at Lane Tree Club hosted by Mr. and Mrs. William S. Wilkins Jr. and other friends of the bride.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Oct. 23 at Walnut Creek Country Club.
