Hill - Ellis
SNOW HILL — Jessica Ann Ellis of Snow Hill and Devin Curtis Hill exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 25 at 3 p.m. at Hull Road Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Leon Grubbs officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Ricky and Amanda Ellis of LaGrange and the granddaughter of Billy and Dolly Ellis of LaGrange and Luby Powell and the late Annie Powell of Dudley.
She attends Lenoir Community College.
The groom is the son of Thomas and Deborah Hill of Snow Hill and the grandson of Irene Hill, the late Hugh Harvey Hill Sr., the late Guy Harrison and the late Mable Jones Harrison of Snow Hill.
He is a 2004 graduate of Wayne Community College in livestock, poultry and techology.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a strapless princess A-Line gown with a beaded lace split front with a tulle overlay and a chapel train.
Her headpiece was a long-length two-layered beaded veil.
The bride carried calla lilies.
Ashley Tetterton was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Kimberly Ellis and Danielle Hare.
Thomas P. Hill was best man.
Groomsmen were Kelvin Hill and Lee Heath.
Haley Tetterton was flower girl. Xander Pugh was ringbearer.
Shelia Kennedy and Sue Barrow directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs were Jesse Tyndall and Gregory Carraway.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jennifer Moore, pianist, and Jason Tillman, vocalist.
After a wedding trip to Surf City, the couple will reside in Snow Hill.
Events held before the wedding included a money shower April 4 and a household shower April 5 hosted by family and friends.
A rehearsal dinner was held at Hull Road Free Will Baptist Church’s family life center.
