Erika Marie Schosser and Robert Wilson Boyd Jr. exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 26 at 3 p.m. at Mount Olive Presbyterian Church, with Father James Garneau and the Rev. Steven Wicks officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Judith Schosser of Greenville.
She is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. She is employed as a physician with Goldsboro Pediatrics.
The groom is the son of Robert and Tena Boyd of Mount Olive.
He is a graduate of Mount Olive College, Wake Technical College and East Carolina University. He is self-employed as an architectural designer with Boyd Home Design.
The bride was escorted by her father.
She wore an ivory satin A-line strapless gown with a chapel train. The bodice was embellished with ivory embroidery and beaded appliqués.
Her headpiece was a gold tiara with rhinestones attached to an ivory veil with embedded crystals.
Hope Cottrill of Tampa, Fla., and Stephanie Dunkle-Blatter of Lexington, Ky., were matrons of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jessica Horne of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jennifer Lane of Goldsboro.
Robert Boyd Sr. was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Joe Collins of Goldsboro, Phillip Crawley of Swansboro and Alan Bell of Mount Olive.
Matthew Schosser of Nashville, Tenn., and Ryan McPhail of Mount Olive were ushers.
Asha Ari of Tampa and Grace Webster of Mount Olive were flower girls.
Timothy Schosser of Lexington was the altar server.
A program of music was provided by a string quartet including Chris and Amanda Ellis, violinists; Jane Yeager, violist; Alan Armstrong, cellist; Steele Sasser, pianist; and Shirley Proctor and Keith Wright, vocalists.
After a wedding trip to the mountains, the couple reside in Goldsboro.
Events before the wedding included a Pampered Chef shower hosted by Michelle Larson; a bridal shower hosted by Hope Cottrill and Stephanie Dunkle-Blatter; a lingerie shower hosted by Robin Webster and Katrina Smith; and a dinner party hosted by Linda and Dennie Bell and Alan Bell.
A garden rehearsal dinner was held May 25 at the home of the groom’s parents.
