Evans - Conyers
Brenda Pate Conyers of Goldsboro and Robert Rex Evans of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 7 at 2 p.m. at Faith Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dann Patrick officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Handley Franklin Pate Jr. and Mary Batten Pate of Pikeville .
She graduated from Faith Christian Academy in 1986 and Coker College of Hartsville, S.C., in 2001 with Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education and music education. She is employed as a fifth-grade teacher at Spring Creek Elementary School.
The groom is the son of Herbert Evans and the late Ollie Gray Evans of Princeton.
He graduated from Rosewood High School and Southeastern Free Will Baptist College with degree in Biblical studies. He is employed as an associate pastor at Faith Free Will Baptist Church.
Sue Floars directed the wedding.
A program of wedding music was provided by Susan Denton, pianist, and Kevin Denton, vocalist.
Following the ceremony, ladies of Faith Free Will Baptist Church held a reception. Tammy Cannon was the director.
After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C.,, and Wintergreen Resort, Va., the couple reside in Goldsboro.
The bride’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at their home.
