SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE — Laura Renee Albaugh and Darren Ray Weaver of Eight Mile, Ala., exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 10 at 5:30 p.m. at the Log Cabin, officiated by Donald Coles Jr.

The bride is the daughter of John Harry and Barbara Jo Albaugh of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Edna Frankhauser and the late Harold Frankhauser of Bergholz, Ohio, the late Charlotte Albaugh and Blaine Albaugh of Amsterdam, Ohio, and the late Lester McAbier.

She is a 2003 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and attends East Carolina University majoring in elementary education with a concentration in child development and family relations. She is employed as a recreational assistant at BellaMorphosis Women’s Health Club.

The groom is the son of Wanda Weaver of Selma, Ala., and Darrell Weaver of Eight Mile and the grandson of Helen Knight and the late George Knight of Forest, Miss., and Claude and Addie Weaver of Eight Mile.

He graduated from Mary G. Montgomery High School in Alabama in 2004. He is serving in the Marine Corps as a small craft mechanic.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore her mother’s wedding gown of white organza with an empire bodice and cap sleeves. It had an A-line skirt with a detachable chapel-length grain. Venice lace accented the bodice with a ruffle of flounce at the hemline.

Her matching Camelot cap with daisies and seed pearls was attached to a double-tiered veil of French silk illusion trimmed with matching lace.

The bride carried a round bouquet of white daisies and white roses adorned with a family-inscribed handkerchief.

Shawna Morton served her friend as maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Beth McAbier, cousin of the bride; Renee Dickinson, sister of the groom; and Kelli Lambert, friend of the bride.

Darrell Weaver served as his son’s best man.

Ushers were Jonathan Albaugh and Trevor Albaugh, brothers of the bride, and Simon Dron and Jarrad Dron, friends of the groom.

Groomsmen were Gerald Weaver, uncle of the groom; Brandean Sager, friend of the groom; and Chad Weaver, brother of the groom.

Vanessa Albaugh, niece of the bride, and Kayla Wooten, Megan Weaver and Jade Weaver, nieces of the groom, were flower girls. Lane Wooten, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.

Alice Farmer, friend of the couple, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Natalie Albaugh, sister-in-law of the bride, and Amy Dupree, fiancé of the bride’s brother. Christina Ragan, friend of the bride, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Amanda Hill, cousin of the groom, vocalist; and Kenny Stern, sound technician.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Seymour Johnson AFB Officers’ Club.

After a wedding trip to Surf City, the bride resides in Goldsboro and the groom resides at Camp Pendelton, Calif.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower May 28 at the home of Beverly McAbier, aunt of the bride hosted by Edna Frankhauser, grandmother of the bride, and Ms. McAbier; a bridal shower May 6 at the home of Corine Haynes hosted by Mrs. Haynes and June Joyner; a bridal shower April 22 at the home of the bride hosted by the bride’s mother, Shawna Morton and Amy Dupree; and a bridal shower April 8 at the home of the bride hosted by Josie Gurganus and Missy McGoldrick, friends of the bride.

A rehearsal dinner was held at the home of the bride’s parents.
