GREENVILLE — Stephanie Cartrette Sprouse and Christensen Michael Taylor were united in marriage Saturday, Nov. 13, at 4:30 p.m.

The Rev. David Brownlee officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Covenant Church.

The bride is the daughter of Jan Gray of Greenville, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sprouse of Chapel Hill and Mr. and Mrs. Clay Wright of Wilmington. She is the granddaughter of Rosa Nell Cartrette and the late Arthur Cartrette of Tabor City and Eunice Sprouse and the late Wilson Sprouse of Durham.

The groom is the son of Dr. Ray and Vickie Taylor of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Edna Taylor Hill and the late Clyde Taylor of Kinston and Dolly Turner and the late Jimmy Turner of Kinston.

Brooke Benton of Hampstead, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Caroline McDonald of Greenville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Nicole Cartrette of Huntersville, Kimberly Hinson and Jordan Robertson of Greenville, Catharine Taylor of Wake Forest and Erin Taylor of Goldsboro.

Ray Taylor, father of the groom, and Bryan Taylor of Wake Forest, brother of the groom, were best men. Groomsmen were Michael Benton of Hampstead, Jeff Daniels and Justin Mullarkey of Greenville, Chip Herring of Raleigh and David Ridoutt of New York. Ushers were Brett Givens, Robert Strickland, Chad Sutton and Dave Walston.

Hannah Whaley of Durham was flower girl. Austin Cunningham of Kinston was ring bearer.

Laura Smith of Greenville directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs were Paige Clark, Rebecca Spadaccini and Lolly Williams. The Rev. Gary Bailey was Scripture reader.

A program of wedding music was provided by Lauren Claiborne, Jim Gilliam, Mary Price and Andrew Skinner.

After a wedding trip to Cancun, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of J.H. Rose High School of Greenville and a 2002 graduate of East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a 2003 graduate with a master’s degree in business administration. She is employed at BB&T.

The groom graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School in 1997 and East Carolina University in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He is employed at Wayne Country Day School.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at Rock Springs Equestrian Center of Greenville.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner Nov. 12 at the City Hotel and Bistro of Greenville.
