Grisette - Warren
Ellen Ruth Warren and Benjamin Layton Grisette were married Oct. 2 at 5:30 p.m.
Dr. William L. Hufham and the Rev. James E. Martin officiated at the ceremony at First Presbyterian Church.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William L. Warren of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rudolph Warren Jr. of Goldsboro and Mr. and Mrs. Philip W. Rouse of LaGrange.
Mr. and Mrs. Julius Alfred Grisette Jr. of Goldsboro are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Hettie Waff Wallace of Edenton, the late William Wallace and the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Alfred Grisette of Valdese.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Mollie Margaret Lynch of Atlanta, Ga., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lindsay Michelle Beamer, Sarah Elizabeth Wicker and Natalie Ann Johnson of Charlotte, Emily Elizabeth Johnson of Chapel Hill, Kemper Hatfield LeCroy of Rochester, N.Y., Cecily Joyce Trawick, Jennifer Elisabeth Miller and Courtney Grey Swaim of Atlanta, Ga.
Julius Grisette Jr. was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Julius Alfred Grisette III, brother of the groom; William Bryan Warren of Raleigh, brother of the bride; Wylie Paul Warren of Wilmington, cousin of the bride; Douglas Craig Kelly and Adam Michael Easley of Raleigh, Lee Johnson Brashear of New York, James Davison Reynolds of Washington D.C. and James Clifton Loyd of Charlotte.
Lynda Cameron Malpass was Scripture reader.
Presiding at the register was Shannon Vaillancourt. Jennifer Warren, Chancey Rouse, Samantha Rouse, Ashley Rouse and Carson Rouse, nieces of the bride, and Kimberly Barr, niece of the groom, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Paul Cunningham, organist; Kemper LeCroy, vocalist; and Kathleen Stovall Warren, violinist.
After a wedding trip to British Virgin Islands, the couple will reside in Atlanta.
The bride is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor of science degree in business. She is employed as a project coordinator for Cypress Equities.
The groom graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel hill with a bachelor of science degree in business. He is employed as an associate in the business valuation group of Deloitte and Touche LLP.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Walnut Creek Country Club.
On Oct. 2, friends and family held a brunch at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wes Seegars.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner Oct. 1 at Walnut Creek Country Club.
On Oct. 1, family and friends of the couple held a dance at the home of the groom.
Mrs. H.L. Whitley, Mrs. James Doss and Mrs. Wilson Stackhouse held a bridesmaids’ luncheon at the Stackhouse home.
On Aug. 7, Mrs. Bruce Malpass and Cameron Malpass held a floating shower at their home.
Friends of the couple held a cocktail party July 31 in Atlanta.
Friends held an engagement party May 22 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Franklin.
On March 27, Mollie Lynch held a surprise shower in Atlanta.
