Francis - Hare
RALEIGH — Natalie Marie Hare and Michael Joseph Francis exchanged promises Aug. 7 at 4 p.m. at Jones Chapel of Meredith College.
Parents of the bride are Donna Phillips Reel of Raleigh and Edward Hare of Fuquay-Varina. She is the granddaughter of Marie Phillips, the late Lebert Phillips and Esther Hobby of Goldsboro.
Parents of the groom are Tim and Donna Francis of Raleigh. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Molica of Cape Cod, Mass., and Joseph Francis of Raleigh.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white gown of bridal satin with a halter top neckline. The fitted bodice was accented with bugle beads and iridescent sequins. The floor-length skirt was A-line with pleats draped across to the right side accented with covered buttons. The skirt featured a chapel train.
For her headpiece, she chose a tiara of iridescent crystals and pearls attached to a double elbow-length veil of silk illusion edged with silk cording. She carried a cascading bouquet of white roses, orchids, blue hydrangea and white stephanotis.
Sherry Weaver of Melbourne, Fla., friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Reel of Greenville, stepsister of the bride, and Lisa Correll and Heather Frollo of Raleigh, friends of the bride.
Jeff Francis of Raleigh was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Jim Cartwright and Chris Pettit of Raleigh, friends of the groom, and Mark Francis of Raleigh, brother of the groom.
Camille Stell of Raleigh directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs were Lynn Hampton and Lauren Zingraff.
A program of wedding music was provided by Julie Florin of Raleigh, vocalist; Mary Fleming of Merriack, N.H., violinist; and Jordan Mericle of Raleigh and Tony Molica of Hudson, N.H.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple is residing in Raleigh.
The bride is a 2004 cum laude graduate of Mount Olive College with a bachelor’s degree in business management and organizational development and Johnston Community College with a degree in paralegal technology. She is employed by Kennedy, Covington, Lobdell and Hickman LLP as a legal assistant.
The groom graduated from Elmira College in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in business management. He is employed by Simmons Irrigation Supply as a residential/commercial sales representative.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Wake Shrine Club of Raleigh.
On Aug. 6, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Cafe Luna. The couple chose this time to present gifts to his attendants.
Co-workers of the bride held a miscellaneous shower Aug. 3 at Kennedy, Covington, Lobdell and Hickman.
On June 20, the bride’s family and friends held a miscellaneous shower at the home of the bride’s mother.
The groom’s parents held an engagement party Oct. 11 at their home.
