KURE BEACH — Tisha Johnson of Goldsboro and Lyndon Johnson said their marriage vows Saturday, May 8 at 11 a.m.
The Rev. Bill Harris officiated at the double-ring private ceremony in a gazebo on the beach.
Parents of the bride are the late Johnie Morris and Margaret Morris of Commerce Township, Mich.
The groom is the son of the late Cleveland Johnson and Joyce Lee Johnson of Mount Olive.
The bride was given in marriage by her mother and escorted by her son, Aaron Johnson.
Denise Spaulding of Goldsboro, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Freda Smith of Goldsboro, friend of the bride, was the bridesmaid.
Cleveland Johnson of Goldsboro was his brother’s best man. Fitzgerald Johnson, brother of the groom, was the groomsman.
A program of wedding music was provided by Tasha Sloan of Goldsboro.
After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Cancun, Mexico, the couple is residing in Goldsboro.
The bride is serving in the Air Force stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
The groom is employed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons and as chief master instructor of Hwarang Warrior Martial Arts Academies.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Ft. Fisher Recreation Area.
On May 7, the groom’s mother; Martha McKinney, aunt of the groom; and Anecia Johnson, sister-in-law of the groom, held a rehearsal dinner at Ft. Fisher Recreation Area.
Co-workers of the bride held a bridal shower May 4.
On April 30, friends of the bride held a bachelorette party.
