Brandy Renee Hester and Bryan Ray Jones were united in marriage May 15 at 3 p.m.

The Rev. Vernon Braswell officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Rosewood First Baptist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Harold and Debbie Hester of Princeton. She is the granddaughter of Dave and Lib Lassiter and the late James Elton and Nadell Hester of Princeton.

Danny and Brenda McGee and Bobby Jones of Goldsboro are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Joyce Hope and Melba Jones of Goldsboro, the late Franklin Hope and the late Willard Jones.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white organza gown with a halter neckline and embroidery appliqué with crystal and pearl embellishments throughout the bodice. The A-line skirt had a split back with a chapel-length train enhanced by an embroidery trim.

For her headpiece, she chose a tiara of crystal and pearl embellishments with an elbow-length veil accented with an appliqué of crystals and pearls. She carried a cascading bouquet of yellow roses, white daisies and white monte casino.

Leigh Albertson, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Robin Jones and Brittany Jones, sisters of the groom.

Bobby Jones was his son’s best man. Ushers were Jerry Stroud, Terry Stroud and Scott Worrell, cousins of the bride. Groomsmen were Brian Hester, brother of the bride, and Tyler McGee, brother of the groom.

Darlene Stroud, aunt of the bride, directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Jessica Lassiter, cousin of the bride. Marissa Lassiter and Brittany Creech, cousins of the bride, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Hollie Heller, friend of the bride, pianist, and Monica Rodriguez, friend of the bride, vocalist.

After a wedding trip to Disney World, Fla., the couple will reside in Princeton.

The bride is a graduate of Rosewood High School and Johnston Community College with an associate’s degree in criminal justice and basic law enforcement training. She is a volunteer emergency management tech with Wayne County EMS. She is employed as a deputy with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

The groom graduated from Rosewood High School. He attended Wayne Community College. He is a volunteer firefighter with Oakland Volunteer Fire Department. He is employed as a route salesman with Unifirst.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents and aunts held a reception in the church fellowship hall. Danny and Trudy Hope and Dennis and Sue Jones, uncles and aunts of the groom, greeted guests. Lauren Nord, Brittany Creech and Marissa Lassiter, cousins of the bride, distributed birdseed and bubbles.

On May 14, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner in the church fellowship hall.

Terry Stroud, Jerry Stroud and Brian Hester held a bachelor party May 8.

On April 16, Rebecca Sasser, Amanda Tyndall and Leigh Albertson held a bachelorette weekend in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Laura Worley, Darlene Stroud, Barbara Barnes and Wendy Creech, aunts of the bride, held a miscellaneous bridal shower March 27 at Antioch Presbyterian Church.

On March 7, Shelia Nord and Christina Mills, cousins of the bride, and Lib Lassiter, grandmother of the bride, held a lingerie shower at the Nord home.

Rebecca Sasser and Amanda Tyndall, friends of the bride, held a Tupperware shower Feb. 21 at the Tyndall home.

On Dec. 14, Leigh Albertson, friend of the bride, held a Christmas shower at her home.
