KENNETH ARNOLD LANE

May 26, 1932-Sept. 5, 2018

Kenneth Arnold Lane, 86, Goldsboro, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Kenneth was born May 26, 1932, in Wayne County to the late Wilbur and Luna Garris Lane.

Kenneth farmed for many years and loved the land and the life of the farmer. Always busy, Kenneth would often work in construction when things were quiet on the farm. He later worked in the maintenance department at J.P. Stevens.

Kenneth enjoyed swimming and the many friendships he made at the Family Y. He was a longtime member of Walnut Creek Original Free Will Baptist Church.

Kenneth loved trips to the mountains of North Carolina. The worries of the world always disappeared for Kenneth when in Maggie Valley.

Kenneth looked forward to his daily trip to Bojangles for food and fellowship. He especially liked spending time with his Bojangles buddies solving the issues of the world.

A service to celebrate and honor Kenneth’s life will be today at 6 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tony McLamb officiating. Burial will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Fairview Cemetery.
