Esther Parker, 78, 210D Alpha Court, peacefully departed this life Thursday at Harmony Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation, Kinston, N.C.
She was born April 17, 1940, in Wayne County to the late H.B. and Laurina Spruill Johnson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in the silent halls death by her children, Janice Spruill and Curtis Parker.
Her life will be celebrated and her death mourned Thursday at 1 p.m. at St. Mark Church of Christ. Her mortal frame will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.
Her memory and love are cherished by her children Bobby Lee Parker Jr., Laura Johnson of Goldsboro and Michael Parker of Elizabeth City. A host of other loving dear relatives and friends.
The visitation with the family present to receive friends will be held at church one hour prior to the service. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence, where it will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
