Edith Burroughs King, 84, passed away Monday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
At her request, a graveside service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Frank Purvis officiating.
The family will receive friends at the grave immediately following the service.
Edith was the daughter of the late Wilbur Burroughs and Amy Smith Burroughs.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Jack Hardy King, and her siblings, William Burroughs and Virginia Radford.
She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Verlie Reeves of Mount Olive and Brent and Debbie King of Garner; four grandchildren, Brian Reeves (April Ramirez) of Mount Olive, Kyle Reeves (Lindsay) of Greenville and Jackson King and Krista King both of Arlington, Va.; and a great-granddaughter, Isabelle Reeves of Greenville
