HILDA B. PRECYTHE

Hilda Gray Brogden Precythe, 82, resident of Faison, N.C., passed away Saturday night, April 7, 2018, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Her family will have visitation to begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, at Faison Baptist Church, with funeral services to follow at 3 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Pastor Andy Beard will officiate. Burial will then follow in Faison Cemetery.

Mrs. Precythe was retired with First Citizens Bank, having been a longtime employee.
She was a member of Faison Garden Club and the local AARP group, was a volunteer with the Area Churches in Action (ACIA) Thrift Shop in Mount Olive and was a member of Faison Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Henry W. Precythe of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Betsy Lynn Hood and Glenn Hood of Grantham; a son, Joe Precythe and his partner, Jerry Ridenhour, of Hillsboro; three grandchildren, Blake Precythe and wife, Kim, of Holly Springs and Taylor Hood and Garrett Hood both of Grantham; a sister, Thelma B. Reaves of Mount Olive; a brother, Charles Brogden of Dudley; and many nieces and nephews.
Those preceding her in death include a daughter, Rita Jean Precythe; her parents, James Phillip Brogden and Bessie Carter Brodgen; three sisters, Jo Ann B. Bishop, Linda B. Sauls and Nell B. Hudson-Odom; and three brothers, Roy Brogden, Troy Brogden and Marvin Brogden.
