Gwendolyn Whitley Carr, 91, 509 Vann St., died Friday at Wayne UNC Health Care.
Funeral will be Saturday at noon at First African Baptist Church, with Dr. Louis Leigh officiating. Burial will be at Wayne Memorial Park.
She was born Oct. 30, 1926, in Wayne County to Henry and Penina Raiford Whitley.
Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon at the church.
Arrangements are by J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremation.
