Rebecca Darlene Rowland Dennison, 70, LaGrange, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

Rebecca was born in Kansas City, Mo., on Dec. 28, 1947, to the late Jess E. Rowland and Lois Liberty Rowland. She enjoyed life and spending time with her family and friends. Rebecca, also known as Nana-Belle, was a valued employee of the library at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base and her greatest joy was reading to the children. She even dressed up as a clown for storytime. Rebecca enjoyed her travels, as a military wife, with her family visiting the many places around the world. She also enjoyed making jewelry and ceramics. Most of all, she enjoyed the time she spent with her family and grandchildren.

A private service for the family will be held at a later date.

Rebecca is survived by her husband of almost 49 years, James Leonard Dennison; daughters and sons-in-law, Satina L. and Harold Allen Boan Jr. of LaGrange and Nikki and Brad Hardister of Goldsboro; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Dusty and Kim Hardister of Goldsboro; brother, Lance Rowland of Kansas City; and was anticipating the birth of a great-grandson, Thomas Reid Hardister.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mark Rowland.
