Lillie Mae Harrison McCoy, 87, Goldsboro, passed away peacefully at her residence Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017.
A graveside funeral service will be held Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 3888 U.S. 70 West, Princeton, N.C. The Dr. Rev. Mike Collier will officiate.
The family will receive friends after the committal service.
Mrs. McCoy is survived by her husband of 65 years, James S. McCoy; sons, Michael James McCoy (Nancy Rosario) of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Matthew Harrison McCoy of Goldsboro; brothers, Joe Harrison of Clayton and Cecil Harrison (Hazel) of Kinston; sisters, Frances Harrison Pittman of Kinston, Mary Harrison Mason (R.H.) of Goldsboro, Ruby Harrison Tyndall (Bob) of Kinston and Evelyn Harrison White (Ivey) of Kinston; and a sister-in-law, Anne Parker Harrison of Kinston.
A native of Lenoir County, she was preceded in death by her parents, Annie Davis Harrison and Richard Homer Harrison, and a brother, William Harrison.
Mrs. McCoy taught school until her retirement.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rosewood.
Arrangements are with Evergreen Memorial Service.
