IRENE HAM ROGERS

Irene Ham Rogers, 94, Goldsboro, passed away Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Wilson County Aug. 17, 1923, to the proud parents of Kirby and Annie Killett Ham.
She was married to her husband, William Bryant Rogers Sr. for 71 beautiful years and 11 months.
They were blessed with the children, the late William Bryant Rogers Jr. (wife, Jean), Judy Rogers Godwin, Ann Rogers Morse and Mary Lou Rogers Garner (husband, Bill)
Irene was blessed with so many grandchildren, David Godwin, Kelly Rogers Strickland (husband, Jerry), Dawn Morse Campbell (husband, Steve), Brent Rogers (wife, Patty), Jeffrey Morse (wife, Catherine), Darlene Godwin, Jaime Bevan Coble (husband, Kenny) and Haley Bevan Monaghan (husband, Pat).
Irene was blessed with many great-grandchildren as well, Candyce Godwin, Taryn Godwin, Marisa Godwin, Ryan Strickland, Zachary Strickland, Jackson Coble, Caroline Coble, Brody Coble, Grant Rogers, Bladen Rogers, Nick Rogers, Robert Morse, Frank Morse and Piper Monaghan.
She is also survived by her sister, Gladys Ham Walker, whom she loved very much.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at 7 p.m. at New Hope Friends Meeting, with Bill Garner officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center.
Interment will be held Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
