GREGORY LEE SCOTT

Gregory Lee Scott, LaGrange, passed away Sunday at Wayne UNC Hospital with his family by his side.
Born in Wayne County March 2, 1955, he was the son of Rayford and Nancy Scott.
Easy-going, quick with a laugh and beloved by all, Greg was a devoted family man.
The eldest of five brothers, his house and his heart were often the focal point of family gatherings and celebrations.
During his final months, he enjoyed spending time at the hunting club with his cousin, Rick, taking care of his granddaughters, Eleanor and Georgia, and most of all, laughing with his beloved wife and best friend, Kaye.
Greg is survived by his wife, Kaye Scott; his daughter, Stephanie Adams (husband, Daniel); son, Jamie Scott; parents, Rayford and Nancy Scott; brothers, Pat Scott (wife, Tracy), Jim Scott (wife, Amy) and Andy Scott (wife, Amy); granddaughters, Eleanor and Georgia Adams; nieces and nephews, Sabrina Crisp (husband, Jeff, daughter, Keira), Rianna Scott, Kelsey Scott, Alaina Scott and Danielle Scott (son, Aiden); and numerous cousins and kin.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Tim Scott.

The Scott family would like to thank the ICU nursing staff of Wayne Memorial, especially Tara and Crystal, for their care and support.
A memorial service to celebrate Greg's life will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Barry Teague presiding.
The family will greet friends Tuesday immediately following the service at the funeral home and other times at his home.
