Olga Rose Wooten Davis, 86, 553 Church of God Road, Goldsboro, died Saturday at Wayne UNC Medical Care.
Funeral service Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, 610 Mount Carmel Church Road, Pikeville. Committal will follow at Pikeville Cemetery. The Rev. Elizabeth Hounshell, the Rev. David Grissom and the Rev. David Beck will officiate.
Family will receive friends at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church fellowship hall from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday prior to the funeral and other times at the residence of Keith and Lynda Stewart, 207 Pender St., Fremont.
Surviving are her son, James B. Davis of Wilson; a special friend, Donna Cox of Fremont; a daughter, Lynda Davis Stewart (Keith) of Fremont; grandchildren, Leslie S. Stewart (Nicole) of Raleigh, Jay L. Stewart (Bethany) of Goldsboro and Paige S. Harper (Joseph) of Wilson; grandchildren, Evan Stewart, Liza Rose Stewart, Lilli Keith Harper and Rosemary Harper (to be born); sister-in-law, Jean Pittman Wooten of Pikeville.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Durwood Davis; parents, Enness Hicks Wooten and Wesley R. Wooten; siblings, the Rev. Charles Wooten, W. A. "Punk" Wooten and Elton R. Wooten; and a grandson, Will Stewart.
Mrs. Davis was a native of the Pikeville community.
She was a lifelong member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, where she played the piano, as long as her health permitted, and sang in the choir. She served on numerous boards and committees of the church and taught Sunday school for a long period of time.
She was retired from the banking industry.
