GENTRY W. PRIDGEN

Gentry Wayne Pridgen, 38, died suddenly Sunday evening.
Born in Wayne County to Audrey and Wayne Pridgen, Gentry was a member of Dudley Christian Church, and attended Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Elbert J. Pridgen Jr.; stepson, Jesse Ferrell; and special uncle, Steven Robert Anttila.
A service to celebrate Gentry's life will be held Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at Dudley Christian Church, with the Rev. Jeff Dail and the Rev. Blane Smith officiating.
Family members will greet friends Thursday from 5 to 6:45 in the Family Life Center at Dudley Christian Church. The family requests that colorful casual attire be worn.
In addition to his parents, Gentry is survived by his wife, Brenda Pridgen; his son, Brayden Chase Rayburn; stepsons, Michael and Austin; stepdaughter, Kayla Ferrell; paternal grandmother, Mary Frances Pridgen; maternal grandparents, Woodard and Nell Burch; aunt, Gina Dunn; two nephews; his cousin whom he thought of as a brother, Woody Patterson and family; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
