Mildred Pope Bass, 91, formerly of the Nahunta community, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017.
The funeral was held Saturday at First Free Will Baptist Church of Wilson. Interment Elmwood Cemetery of Fremont.
Mrs. Bass was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Walter V. Bass Sr., in January 2000.
She is survived by her daughters, Pam Radford (the Rev. Doug) of Wilson, Regina House (Jesse) of Apex and Linda Hagwood (Dwight) of Santee, S.C.; son, Walter V. Bass Jr. (Cecelia) of Garner; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Shelby Lynch (Mitchell) and Gray Lamm of Goldsboro and Geraldine Lamm (Ollie) of Rocky Mount; and brother, Charles Pope (Shirley) of Belfast.
