Lawrence Mayre Rimel Jr., 75, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family.
Lawrence was born in Perryman, Md., March 7, 1942, to the late Lawrence M. Rimel Sr. and Elizabeth Wade Rimel.
He was retired from the United States Army after 31 years of service, including three tours in Vietnam.
No formal service will be held.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Nit Rimel; daughters, Donna Lee Norris and husband, William Norris IV, of Winnabow, N.C., and Brenda Kay Chapman and husband, Dana Chapman, of Fayetteville, N.C.; son, Mark Anthony Rimel of Fayetteville; and his granddaughters, Sierra Nicole Norris and Kayla Marie Norris.
He is also survived by his brother, Charles Rimel and wife, Cherie, of Midlothian, Va.
