Carolynn Marieo "Rie Rie" Jackson, 25, 707 E. James St., Mount Olive, passed away peacefully Thursday evening at UNC Chapel Hill Hospitals.
Rie Rie was born Wednesday, April 8, 1992, to the late Dennis Jackson and Carol Carlton Simmons in Wayne County.
Her life and love for God and mankind will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at Goldsboro Raleigh District Assembly.
Precious memories are forever held dear by her mother and devoted caretaker, minister Carol Carlton Simmons; her siblings, Stevie Simmons, Delreese Simmons, Asrid Simmons, Delmardo Simmons of Mount Olive, Denell Simmons, Cerrithia Solice, Shareeka Perry of Goldsboro, Lisa Ellis of Maryland, Terry Hill of Warsaw and Saderio Simmons-Mitchell of Knightdale; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation Friday from 2 to 7 p.m., with the family present to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., at Haskins Funeral Home. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence, where it will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
