Donnie Raye Powell, 64, died at his beach home in Emerald Isle on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.
Donnie was born in Wayne County on June 15, 1952, to Shirley Thornton Powell of Goldsboro and the late O’Max Gardner Powell.
A private memorial service to celebrate Donnie’s life will take place at a later date.
In addition to his mother, Donnie is survived by his wife, Theresa Powell.
The family is being served by Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and Crematory.
