Thurman Emanuel Pickett, 63, 1313 Hallsville Road, Beulaville, died Tuesday at Wayne UNC Hospital.
Funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church Chinquapin. Burial will be in Chasten Family Cemetery.
Born in Duplin County, he was the son of Juanita Chasten Pickett and the late Christopher Columbus Pickett.
Three children survive.
Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends at 463 S. N.C. 111, Chinquapin, where it will assemble for the funeral procession.
