SHORTY "WILBUR" GRANT

Shorty "Wilbur" Grant, 92, Goldsboro, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
A graveside service will be held Friday, April 14, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Flatfield Cemetery in LaGrange, with visitation afterward.
Mr. Grant was born in Greene County Dec. 23, 1924, to the late Oscar and Matilda Dail Grant.
He was the past owner of Ballpark Texaco Service Station in Goldsboro.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Grant; three sons, Donnie, Rickey and Randy Grant; three daughters, Billie Jo Webre, Gail Long and husband, Roger, and Lisa Hardison and husband, Danny; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Grant.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
