David Donald Fletcher, 75, Goldsboro, passed away Saturday at his home.
David was born in New London, Conn., Dec. 19, 1941, to the late Archie Fletcher and Bridget Anna Lawton Fletcher.
He served his country in the United States Army, and had retired from U.S. Civil Service.
David was a member of Rosewood First Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon.
A service to celebrate David's life will be Thursday, March 23, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Rosewood First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Michael Collier officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
David is survived by his wife, Nancy Hamby Fletcher; daughters, Susan Fletcher McCabe of Charleston, S.C., and Lisa Johnson and husband, Eugene, of Cleveland, Tenn.; brother, John Fletcher of Florida; and sister, Patricia Hancock of Connecticut.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Logan Fletcher McCabe, Ashley Wong, Johnny Johnson, Amber Johnson and Connor Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rosewood First Baptist Church, 562 N.C. 581 South, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
