SANDRA F. BUTLER
Nov. 6, 1944-March 4, 2017
Sandra Faye Butler, 72, longtime Mount Olive resident, passed away Saturday morning, March 4, 2017, at Genesis Care Center, where she had been a resident/patient for several years.
Her life will be remembered in a graveside service to be held Tuesday, March 7, at 2 p.m. in Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive, and will be officiated by the Rev. Marti Hatch.
Born in Wayne County to the late Edwin R. "Ping" Butler and Evelyn "Ebb" Herring Butler, she was their only child, and oh, how they loved and adored her.
She made her home with them on East Williamson Street in Mount Olive until illness caused her and her mother to give up housekeeping.
Sandra was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mount Olive.
She had attended Crumpler Secretarial College in Goldsboro, had been an office clerk with Sears, Roebuck and Co. in Goldsboro, followed by being a sales associate at Mack's Department Store and Roses both in Mount Olive.
Sandra is survived by several cousins and their families, along with fellow residents and staff at Genesis Care Center.
After being in declining health for a long period of time, we are comforted in knowing Sandra is now at rest, and has rejoined her beloved parents.
Arrangements are with Tyndall Funeral Home.
