Michael Hugh Sweeney, 61, died Friday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
Funeral will be held at a later date.
He was born April 18, 1955, in New York to Rita Sweeney and the late Joseph Sweeney Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Sweeney, and two sons.
Arrangements are by Howell Funeral Home and Crematory.
