John A. Freeman, 93, 143 Sam Fryar Lane, Faison, died Sunday at Genesis Health Care.
Funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Wilson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of Turkey, with the Rev. Wendell Newton officiating. Burial with military honors will be Monday at noon at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
Born in Beaufort County, he was the son of the late James and Mary Spencer Freeman, and husband of Rosa M. Freeman.
Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home chapel, with the family present 6 to 7. At other times, the family will be at the home.
