ANNIEBELLE OVERMAN BROWN

Anniebelle Overman Brown, 84, Goldsboro, completed her life on earth Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016.

Anniebelle was born in Wayne County April 23, 1932, one of seven children, to the late John Lee Overman and Eunice Thornton Overman.

She had worked for many years with Borden Manufacturing in Goldsboro, and later with Wayne County Services on Aging, where she formed many friendships.

Anniebelle was a lifelong member of Providence United Methodist Church. She was devoted to her church, and utilized her gifts and abilities to share the love of God.

Anniebelle was a beautiful person whose loving spirit and ever present smile radiated the joy she experienced in living every day of her life.

She was deeply devoted to her family, and was happiest when she was spending time with each of them.

Anniebelle also had a great love for ballroom dancing.

She was a constant inspiration, and those who knew her will always remember her joy in living, her laughter, her positive attitude and her caring and loving ways.

There will be a service honoring Anniebelle in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery at Providence United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends prior to the service Sunday at Seymour Funeral Home from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

Anniebelle is survived by her son, Charles Brantham Brown Jr. and fianceé, Nancy Smith, of Mount Olive; daughters, Sherry L. Minner of Goldsboro, Brenda Williams of New Bern, Trellie Herring and husband, Elton, of LaGrange, Luz Friede and husband, Tommy, of Goldsboro and Lezlie Brown of Goldsboro; sisters, Minnie Overman of Goldsboro, Elleze Weeks and husband, Borden, of Goldsboro, Carolyn Parker of Goldsboro, Louise Richards of Florida and Lynn Parrish and husband, Henry, of Rocky Mount; three grandchildren, McKenzie Lee and husband, Jerry, Gina Fehrenback and Jake Thomas Friede and wife, Freda; and three great-grandchildren, Madelyn Lee, Savannah Lee and Jake Thomas Friede Jr.

The family would like to express its appreciation for the compassionate care provided by the nurses at Gensis Healthcare in Mount Olive. Love and heartfelt thanks are also expressed to her caregivers and friends, Phyllis McLarin and Barbara Hagans.
