Annie M. Oates, 96, 100 Oates- Armwood Lane, Faison, died Aug. 31 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Poplar Grove Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Willie Alford officiating. Burial will be in Cobbs Cemetery.
Born in Sampson County, she was the daughter of the late Almond Armwood and Hepsie Simmons Armwood.
Five children survive.
Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home chapel, with the family present 6 to 7. At other times, the family will be at the home.
