Gary Wayne Street, 60, LaGrange, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016.
Gary was born May 22, 1956, in Lenoir County to the late Albert Barrett "A.B." Street and Virginia Lee Moody.
Gary was the retired owner of Street Roofing Co.
Happy by nature, Gary had a way of connecting with everyone he came in contact. He especially enjoyed sweet talking the ladies. Gary was never far from his cell phone, loved a good meal at Lovick's Cafe and enjoyed dancing and fellowship at New South.
A service to celebrate and honor Gary's life will be held Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, at 7 p.m. from Rouse Funeral Home. A private family burial will be held at Westview Cemetery.
Gary is survived by his daughter, Lisa Richardson and husband, Scotty; two sons, Shannon Street and his fianceé, Ann Hill, and Scotty Street and his significant other, Shannon Jones; sister, Betty Head and husband, Buddy; four grandchildren, Josh Street, Kourtney Street, Austin Richardson and Bella Street; and his former wife, Rose Thompson.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ivey Moody, and two sisters, Lois Stanley and Susan Carter.
Gary's family will receive friends Friday following the service.
