CALLIE LAMM WADDELL

Callie Emily Lamm Waddell, 71, of Kenly, received her heavenly promotion on Sunday, July 10, while at Wilson Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Emily was born in Wilson County to the late Sanford Selby and Virginia Stott Lamm. She was a member of Kenly Free Will Baptist Church. Emily leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and support for the people she cared about. Her enthusiasm and charm will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Family was paramount to Emily, and she lived a life dedicated to her family and friends.
A service celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Kenly Funeral Service with the Rev. Aubrey Williamson officiating. Interment will follow in the Dixon Family Cemetery.
Emily is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 47 years, Jimmy Waddell; sons, Stephen Burton Waddell and wife, Lorie of Kenly, and Sanford James Waddell and wife, Cheryl of Kenly; the apples of her eye, her grandsons, Joshua Hayden Waddell and Stephen Garrett Waddell; sister, Audrey Lamm Perry of Elm City; brothers, Billy Lamm and wife, Dot of Sims, James Lamm and wife, Carol of Graham, and Ronnie Lamm and wife, Romaine of Sims.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant sister, Darlene Lamm; and a very special brother-in-law, Tommy G. Perry.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service and at other times at her home.
