HILDA GRAY LANCASTER PEELE

Hilda Gray Lancaster Peele, 88, passed away peacefully, and went to be with her Lord Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Hilda was born in Wayne County Sept. 30, 1927, to the late Mack Lancaster Sr. and Elma Pate Lancaster.
She was an active member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church.
Hilda is survived by her husband of 60 years, Donald Peele; her children, Grey Peele and his wife, Valerie, and Gregg Peele and his wife, Sandra; her grandchildren, Karen Peele, Jennifer Peele, Charles Peele and Robert Peele; her great-granddaughter, Madelyn Capps; her brother, Mack Lancaster Jr. and wife, Connie of Pikeville; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, Hilda was preceded in death by her siblings, Pauline Davis, Ervin Lancaster, Clinton Lancaster, Iva West, Wiley Lancaster and Evelyn Lancaster.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bob Clark and the Rev. Rose Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Pikeville Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, 610 Mount Carmel Church Road, Pikeville, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
