FRANCES S. RICHARDS

Frances Smith Waggoner Richards, 68, peacefully closed her eyes and took her last breath Thursday, while staying at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
She was born in Wayne County, N.C., to the late Wymond and Velma Smith, and was married to the late Frederick George Richards.
Frances was also preceded in death by a son, Todd Waggoner.
Funeral services will be held Monday evening at 7 p.m. at Brogden United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Stephanie Foretich officiating.
The family will be receiving friends immediately following the service, and at other times, will be at the home of her son, Eddie Richards.
A private graveside service will be held Tuesday.
Frances is survived by two sons, Jerry Waggoner and wife, Kim, of Fairmont, N.C., and Eddie Richards and wife, Donna, of Dudley; two brothers, Mark Smith and wife, Jan, of Grantham and John Smith and wife, Brenda, of Dudley; one sister, Bertha Faye O’Quinn and husband, Donnie Hill, of Grantham; and eight grandchildren.
