Pat Hines, age 69, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016, in Brandon, Fla.
Pat was born in Goldsboro, N.C., on Sept. 18, 1946, to the late Moulton Dexton Hines and Eula Jane Massey Hines.
Pat served her country in both the active Army and the Army Reserves, retiring after 28 years of service as a sergeant major.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors.
Pat is survived by her best friend and roommate of over 30 years, Byrd Frederickson; her step-sister, Charlotte Gilkerson and husband,T.W., of Oak Hill, W.V.; her step-brother, Charles Thomas Griffith and wife, Jenny, of Beaver, W.V.; and numerous cousins in North Carolina and Illinois.
