HAROLD LLOYD JOHNSON

Harold Johnson, 82, Sleepy Creek Drive, Dudley, passed away Friday, March 25, 2016, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Mary Johnson; brother, Jimmy Lee Johnson; and his grandson, Nicholas Ryan Burd.
Harold served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, was a member of American Legion Post 379, was an elder in Pink Hill Presbyterian Church and was the former owner of H.J. Chevrolet in Pink Hill.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Howard Johnson of the home; daughters, Phyllis Burd and husband, Randy, of Pink Hill, Mary Perry and husband, Gary, of Goldsboro and Nancy DeNooyer of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; brothers, Gerald Wayne Johnson and wife, Pam, of New Bern and Alfred Rex Johnson and wife, Connie, of Chicago; grandchildren, Denny Burd and wife, Brandy, Kari Burd and fiancé, Alex Spence, Suzanne Perry Wilkerson, Nolan Perry and Olivia DeNooyer; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Finnlee and Sawyer Burd and Porter Spence; special nephew, Mike Creech and wife, Kathy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2016, at Pink Hill Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Pink Hill Funeral Home, with burial following at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.
The family will receive friends at other times at the home of his daughter, Phyllis Burd, 5737 Murphy Road, Pink Hill.
