Charles Odena Newson III, 62, of 212 E. Holly Street died Sunday in the Wayne Memorial Hospital.
He was born Wednesday, Sept. 10, 1953 in Philadelphia, Pa., to Charles and Betty Newson. He was preceded in the silent halls of death by his son, Charles Greene.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Golden Gate Cemetery, Pikeville.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Darlene Artis Newson; his children, Keisha Wade of Philadelphia, Pa., Katrina Newson and Tracy Moore of Goldsboro; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 until 6 p.m. at the Haskins Funeral Home, Goldsboro. The family will receive friends at 961 Princeton Pikeville Road, Pikeville.
Arrangements are with Haskins Funeral Home.
