JACK L. JONES

Jack Lee Jones passed away Sunday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Born in Wayne county, he was the son of the late Robert and Bernice Smith Jones, and was the husband of Judith W. Jones.
He was an over-the-road truck driver.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Emmaus Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Jones is survived by two sons, Daryl Jones and wife, Kathryn, of Orlando, Fla., and Chris Jones and wife, Teresa, of Charlotte, N.C.; two brothers, James R. Jones and wife, Debbie, of Mount Olive and Phil Jones and wife, Sharon, of Marshville, N.C.; two sisters, Dantha Alphin and Jean Blackman and husband, Paul, all of Mount Olive; a sister-in-law, Peggy Jones of Pikeville; and two grandchildren, Kate and Lauryn Jones both of Charlotte.
