DENNIS RAY MARTIN
Nov. 25, 1964-Nov. 30, 2015
Dennis Ray Martin, 51, passed away suddenly Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, in an accident that occurred while he was working on his job site.
Dennis was born in Ohio Nov. 25, 1964, to David Gerald Martin and Eileen Greeno Martin of Pikeville.
He was employed in final assembly at SPX.
Dennis had a wonderful sense of humor, and never took himself too seriously. He was a good friend and a great father, and had a generous heart.
He provided a wonderful home for his family, and gave all he could to his family and strangers alike.
Dennis loved fishing, woodworking, remodeling his home and working in the yard, but most of all, his family. He was known for his ability to repair virtually anything and his love for the North Carolina Tarheels.
A service celebrating Dennis' life will be held Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, at 7 p.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Tony McLamb officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.
Interment will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.
In addition to his parents, Dennis is survived by his daughters, Denise Moody and husband, Justin, and Carrie Lee Martin; his girlfriend, Tracey Powers, and her sons, Anthony and Ryan; and the apple of his eye, his granddaughter, Kenley Rae Moody.
He is also survived by his sister, Darleen Hood and husband, Elbert; his brother, Darrell Martin and wife, Wei; his nephew, Martin Hood; his aunts, Peg Barriere and Cristina Axsom Russell; uncle, Hank Greeno; and several cousins he loved very much.
Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.seymourfuneralhome.com.
